UAA Hosts Young Silverback Feedback Webinar to Empower Emerging Creatives

The Uganda Advertising Association (UAA) hosted the Young Silverback Competition Feedback Webinar, bringing together participants, judges, and industry professionals for a reflective and insightful session aimed at nurturing the next generation of creative talent.

Held as part of the broader Silverback Awards experience, the webinar provided a valuable platform for Young Silverback competitors to gain direct feedback from the judges and industry experts who evaluated their work.

Learning Beyond the Competition

The Young Silverback Competition, which culminated in the announcement of winners at the Silverback Awards Gala Dinner, is designed to challenge and showcase emerging creatives across Uganda’s advertising and communications industry.

The feedback session extended this experience by offering participants a deeper understanding of:

  • What stood out in winning entries
  • Common gaps in concept development and execution
  • The importance of clarity, strategy, and originality
  • How to align creative ideas with client briefs and objectives

The session featured a panel of respected industry professionals including Peter Kazibwe (MAAD McCann Uganda), Adonia Waibale (fireworks Advertising), Annette Sebba (Lecturer/Art Director), and Patience Okubal (Business Development Executive), with moderation by Petra Amito (Brainchild Burson).
