UAA Financial Mastery Workshop

The Uganda Advertising Association (UAA) recently hosted a Financial Mastery Workshop aimed at equipping advertising, media, communication, and creative agency leaders with practical financial management skills to support sustainable business growth.

Held at Nob View, Ntinda, the workshop brought together agency owners, directors, CEOs, finance leaders, and emerging industry professionals for an engaging half-day learning session focused on strengthening financial discipline and improving operational resilience within the industry.

Building Financially Sustainable Agencies

The training addressed key financial management areas that are critical for agency growth and long-term stability. Sessions focused on:

  • Accounting systems and financial structuring
  • Internal controls and governance
  • Cash flow management strategies
  • Credit management and business structuring
  • Understanding the difference between personal and business finances
  • Tax compliance and regulatory considerations

Participants gained practical insights on how to improve financial planning, enhance accountability, and build systems that support scalability and profitability.

The workshop featured experienced industry trainers including CPA Nakayenga Zuriat from the Uganda Tax Agents Association, CPA Benard Bwire, Partner at BNB Associates LLP, and Joshua Mazune, Managing Director at Maru Credit.

Through interactive discussions and real-world case examples, the facilitators guided participants on how agencies can strengthen financial governance, improve compliance, and make informed strategic decisions.
